Rory McIlroy has claimed that the form of Jordan Spieth and Jason Day in 2015 has given him extra motivation to get back to his best.
An ankle injury suffered while playing football halted McIlroy's season in the summer, and both Spieth and Day have been at the top of the rankings since then.
The Northern Irishman has slipped down the world number three, but he believes that the pressure arriving from the pair will help him to regain his best form.
"It's motivating to see what these guys are doing," McIlroy told BBC Sport. "You want to go out and work harder, you want to hit more balls, and try to keep getting better.
"It has definitely given me that sense of hunger again."
Spieth, who is currently world number one, was named PGA Tour Player of the Year on Friday.
