British golfer Lee Westwood has confirmed that he has split from swing instructor Sean Foley as he tries to climb his way back up the rankings.
The 40-year-old, who has fallen to 33rd in the world, has recorded a best finish this year so far of tied 47th at the Farmers Insurance Open.
"I just wanted to work on swing positions and stuff like that a bit more," Golfweek.com quotes Westwood as saying. "I didn't feel like Sean coached like that, so it didn't really fit what I wanted to do.
"I have things in the pipeline. Nobody has got any need to apply."
Westwood is said to have parted ways with Foley at the end of 2013.
