Justin Thomas has clinched his maiden title on the PGA Tour by claiming a one-shot victory at the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur.
The 22-year-old entered the final round of the competition with a share of the lead on 20-under with Brendan Steele and had a solid start as he holed two birdies on the front nine.
Thomas strengthened his grip on the crown by firing an eagle on the 10th hole, which was followed by a birdie on the 13th.
However, disaster struck on the 14th with a double bogey, but the American managed to regain his composure to birdie the final three holes to clinch the tournament on 26-under.
Adam Scott made a strong challenge to win the tournament as he produced the round of the day with a nine-under display of 63 to pull within a shot of Thomas.
Steele finished on 24-under for the tournament to finish in joint-third as he was unable to match the performance of his compatriot, while Kevin Na rued a miss for birdie on the 16th as he finished two shots off the pace following a round of five-under.
