Former champion Rafael Cabrera-Bello has moved into a one-shot lead at the halfway mark of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.
The Spaniard, who won the tournament in 2012, shot a second straight five-under-par 67 to reach 10-under after the second round.
In close pursuit are Ernie Els, Danny Willett and Trevor Fisher Jr, who all lie at nine-under at Emirates Golf Club.
World number two Rory McIlroy started the day four-under, but could only shoot a level-par 72 to drop six shots off the pace.
It would have been a lot worse for the Northern Irishman had he not birdied his last three holes after five bogeys in his first 11 holes.
