Commonwealth champion Max Whitlock tells Sports Mole that British gymnastics is in good hands after three Brits made the podium in the all-around final.

Commonwealth gold medallist Max Whitlock believes that British gymnastics has a successful future due to the number of youngsters pushing through.

The 21-year-old finished on the top of the podium at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in this afternoon's men's all-round final, just one day after winning team gold with England.

Three Brits made it onto the podium after the individual event at the Hydro today, including silver medallist Dan Keatings of Scotland and Whitlock's 18-year-old teammate Nile Wilson, who claimed bronze.

"[The status of British gymnastics is] really good," Whitlock told Sports Mole. "The depth of the sport is really amazing at the moment.

"You've got juniors like Nile, who have just popped into the senior rankings and he's gone and got himself a bronze medal. There's more juniors to come, pushing through and pushing all the seniors."

Whitlock, who led the standings all the way through today's final, took gold with a combined score of 90.631.
