British gymnast Beth Tweddle has revealed that she will ease herself into retirement following her success at the London Olympic Games.
The 27-year-old managed to claim a bronze medal in the uneven bars final at London 2012 but has stayed committed to her original plans to retire.
"I am taking a bit of time to go on holiday," Tweddle told BBC Radio Five Live. "I am not going to retire straight away.
"With the support of my coach and Federation I am going to continue training, but more slowly. I'll never walk away completely from gymnastics it has been too much a part of my life, but there are a few other things I want to have a go at."
Tweddle grabbed a medal for Team GB following her disappointment four years ago when she finished fourth in Beijing.
