Team Scotland gymnast Adam Cox has revealed that he has retired from gymnastics after competing in his last vault final at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The 27-year-old walked away from competitive action in 2010, but returned two years later to feature in his homeland of Scotland.
This week, Cox and his fellow Scots Dan Keatings, Daniel Purvis, Frank Baines and Liam Davie won Scotland's first team gymnastics medal by finishing behind England in the silver-medal spot.
"I think that's me done now and what an experience," Cox told reporters. "I came out of retirement for exactly that reason and it's been everything I hoped it would be. It's been an honour to be part of this team and captain of the boys and lead them out was a dream come true."
After finishing seventh in the men's vault final this afternoon, Cox told Sports Mole that the British male gymnasts will continue to go from strength to strength following this week's success.
