The only member of Lokomotiv Yaroslav to survive last week's plane crash has died of his injuries.
Alexander Galimov suffered 90% burns during the accident last Wednesday and despite receiving intenstive medical treatment, the 26-year-old died earlier this morning.
Forty-three other people lost their lives in the crash, including all of Galimov's Lokomotiv teammates.
"We express our deepest condolences to the families and friends of Alexander, and all to whom his fight for life has remained the last hope in this terrible tragedy," read a statement from the Russian Hockey Federation.
There is now just one survivor from the crash, a flight crew member, who remains in intensive care.
