Arsenal legend Thierry Henry joins Sky Sports as a pundit from 2015 after announcing his retirement from football.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry will embark on a new career in the media from 2015 after Sky Sports announced that the Frenchman will join their punditry team.

The 37-year-old announced his retirement from football this morning after a 20-year career.

The former striker, who worked as a pundit for the BBC during the World Cup in Brazil, has played for Monaco, Juventus, Arsenal, Barcelona and MLS side the New York Red Bulls.

Now, Henry will team up with fellow pundits Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Graeme Souness and Jamie Redknapp to give his in-depth analysis and football expertise.

"I've been fortunate enough to have had an amazing playing career with many incredible memories and now I can't wait for the next chapter to begin with Sky Sports," said Henry.

"I played for some of the best teams in football and now I'm joining what I think is the best team in television. I'm looking forward to joining the guys and helping to provide Sky Sports viewers with the best possible analysis. I can't wait."

Sky Sports managing director Barney Francis added: "The best team just got better. The addition of Thierry Henry to our team of experts will help take Sky Sports' football coverage to the next level.

"He's played on the greatest stages, with some of the greatest players, in some of the greatest teams and for the first time, viewers can enjoy his insight and opinions throughout the football season."

Henry, who has also signed on to become a Sky ambassador, will feature on the panel during live international, European and domestic football matches.
