Barcelona star Lionel Messi has donated around £315,000 to children's charity UNICEF.
The four-time Ballon d'Or winner is preparing for the new La Liga season with the Spanish giants, but took some time out to make a generous gesture.
During an appearance on Argentine TV over the weekend, the 28-year-old announced that he will hand over 4.5 million Argentine Pesos to UNICEF.
"It's a pleasure to be with you all through this video, collaborating with the people of UNICEF," said Messi.
The donation was made as part of 'A sun for the kids' campaign.
