Bayern Munich supporters have been told that they could lose their season tickets if they fail to turn up to matches.

The German champions have received widespread praise recently for their fan-friendly ticketing policies, including subsidising trips to Arsenal. Bayern are selling £62 tickets for the Champions League clash in London for just £37.

However, the club have now threatened not to renew the season tickets of any holders who fail to turn up to eight or more home games in a season.

A public statement reads: "Should the season ticket holder not be in the stadium for at least eight games in the current season, the club retains the right to cancel the ticket."

The cheapest Bayern season ticket for this season cost just £104.
