Brazil football legend Pele returns to hospital in Sao Paulo with a reported urinary infection.

Three-time World Cup winner Pele has returned to hospital for a "medical evaluation".

The 74-year-old, who recently went under the knife to remove kidney stones, had further treatment at the Albert Einstein hospital in Sao Paulo on Monday.

A hospital spokesperson confirmed that Pele is "stable", while ESPN reports that the Brazil football legend contracted a urinary infection.

Pele left hospital less than 10 days ago following kidney surgery.
