Four footballers are expected to face a retrial on sexual assault charges after the jury failed to come to a verdict at the Old Bailey.
Brighton & Hove Albion players Anton Rodgers, who is the 19-year-old son of Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, Lewis Dunk, 21, George Barker, 21, and now-Bournemouth player Steve Cook, 21, have all been accused of sexually assaulting a woman while she slept.
The court heard throughout the trial that the foursome allegedly took photos of them pleasuring themselves in front of the sleeping 19-year-old during the incident in a Brighton hotel in July 2011.
The defendants, who were hit with eight charges - four counts of sexual assault and four of voyeurism, have been waiting to discover their fate while the jury deliberated for a number of days.
The jury were brought back into the court this afternoon to give a verdict on Dunk, who has been cleared of voyeurism, but they were unable to reach a verdict for the remaining charges.
The court discharged the jury and a retrial is expected.
