Celtic captain Scott Brown reportedly misses the team's flight home from Austria after facing Salzburg due to a routine drugs test.

Celtic captain Scott Brown was reportedly forced to miss the team's flight back to Scotland from Austria after his side's Europa League match against Red Bull Salzburg due to a drugs test.

The 29-year-old, who scored in the Scottish outfit's 2-2 draw on Thursday night, was picked to undergo a routine drugs test.

According to the Daily Mail, Brown was left behind in Austria because testing did not finish in time for him to make the scheduled 10.55pm flight.

The skipper is expected to return to Scotland at some point today.
