Chelsea have insisted that the safety of their fans is paramount following reports that two supporters were stabbed ahead of tonight's Champions League tie against Galatasaray.
The Premier League outfit have been notified about incidents regarding their supporters after PA reported that two Blues fans were attacked in Istanbul on Tuesday evening.
According to BBC Sport, Chelsea have advised fans to avoid the metro system and take a "special bus" to and from Galatasaray's home ground.
The club also wrote on their official Twitter page: "The club is aware of 2 incidents involving fans in Istanbul last night & is working with relevant agencies to best ensure safety of all."
Reports have claimed that the stab victims did not require hospital treatment.
