Former Chelsea player Terry Bradbury has revealed that he may use some of his lottery winnings to help ex-teammate Jimmy Greaves recover from a stroke.

The 75-year-old has been in a rehabilitation clinic since leaving hospital on June 12, almost six weeks after he suffered a severe stroke.

Bradbury and his wife Ann scooped £5.5m on the lottery, and the retired footballer has not ruled out giving some of that cash to Greaves.

"I heard about Jimmy, it was a shock," The Mirror quotes Bradbury as saying. "I've been very lucky with my health, some other old pros haven't.

"He was the best player I ever played alongside, he was a goal machine. It was sad to hear that he'd had this stroke. I haven't thought how I will spend the money, but I wouldn't rule out helping an old teammate who is in need."

Greaves's agent Terry Baker has set up a fundraising page to help towards the costs, which could rise to £60,000.
