A Chelsea fan who is alleged to have been involved in the racism incident in Paris reportedly emerges as a UKIP supporter.

A Chelsea fan who was allegedly involved in an incident of racism at a Paris Metro station has emerged as an apparent UKIP supporter.

Police and Chelsea Football Club have appealed to the public to identify a group of fans who were caught on video shoving a black man off a train and chanting, "we're racist, we're racist and that's the way we like it".

The incident was filmed prior to Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League last-16 clash at Parc des Princes on Tuesday evening.

The Guardian has named season-ticket holder Josh Parsons as one of the fans on the train, and it has been suggested that he is a UKIP supporter after he allegedly posted an Instagram photo of himself alongside party leader Nigel Farage, with the caption: "UKIP BOYS! What a geezer."

According to the newspaper, Parsons has removed his Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts following the high-profile incident in France.

UKIP has also contacted the publication to state that the Chelsea supporter is not a member of the party, adding that Farage finds the recent incident in Paris "disgraceful" and hopes that the perpetrators will face the "full force of the law".

Souleymane S, who claims to be the man who was allegedly racially abused by the group, believes that the fans should be "locked up" in prison.
