Two England fans are sentenced to jail for their involvement in rioting in Marseille at Euro 2016.

A French court has sentenced two England supporters to prison following their involvement in the violent scenes in Marseille that have marred the first week of Euro 2016.

Alexander Booth - a 20-year-old chef - and 41-year-old psychiatric nurse Ian Hepworth have been sentenced to two months and three months respectively behind bars.

The pair have also been banned from France.

The ruling comes a day after UEFA threatened to expel England and Russia from the tournament in France following clashes between the sets of fans.

There were reportedly a number of altercations between England and Russia supporters during the build-up to Saturday's 1-1 draw at the Stade Velodrome.

The violence carried into the stadium when Russian fans appeared to charge at their rivals on the final whistle, which forced UEFA to open disciplinary proceedings against the Russian Football Federation.
