India cricketer Amit Mishra has been charged in relation to an alleged assault involving a woman.
The 32-year-old was arrested and later released on bail in Bangalore after a woman, who is said to be known to the sportsman, pressed charges on October 20.
According to ESPN, Bangalore's deputy commissioner of police Sandeep Patil said: "It is a bailable offence. A chargesheet will be prepared and submitted in the court."
The incident is said to have occurred towards the end of September when Mishra and his India teammates were in Bangalore training ahead of November's tour in South Africa.
Mishra has been charged with voluntarily causing hurt and voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means.
