A Linkin Park song is accidentally played instead of the Maltese national anthem ahead of a match between Malta and Slovakia.

Malta's national football team were left bemused after a Linkin Park song was played ahead of their international friendly against Slovakia instead of their national anthem.

The band's 2003 hit 'Numb' was played for a couple of seconds before the mistake was noticed and the Maltese national anthem, 'L-Innu Malti', was played instead.

The players saw the funny side, laughing while the song played before singing their anthem.
