New research shows that Manchester City can hold claim to having the oldest squad of any major side in Europe's top divisions.
The Citizens boast an average age of 28.8 years old, making them the most experienced outfit in the Premier League.
Six other clubs among the more than 500 used in the research across the world's biggest 31 top divisions have squads with an older average age than City's, although that list includes the likes of Torpedo Zhodino, Slutsk, Atalanta, Podbeskidzie, Metalist Kharkiv and Fenerbahce.
Manuel Pellegrini has a dozen first-team squad members in their 30s, including New York City loanee Frank Lampard, who turned 36 this year.
