Mercedes Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton took time out from preparing for the British Grand Prix by spending a day with the RAF Red Arrows.
The 28-year-old has claimed that he fulfilled a "lifetime ambition" by getting to experience one of the jets, which he was able to fly himself at one point.
"It was such an incredible day - a day that anyone would dream of doing," Hamilton wrote in his BBC Sport column. "Looking back on it, I still can't believe I've been in a fighter jet.
"We did turns, loops, flips and I even got to fly the plane, which was pretty cool. I've never done anything like that before and I flipped and rolled it. It was fantastic, just to feel the G-force was spectacular."
Hamilton's trip was part of a film that will be shown during BBC One's build-up to the Grand Prix at Silverstone on Sunday.
