Newcastle United fans have travelled the most distance over the course of the season to support their team among all the Premier League supporters.
A study by AA Route Planner has indicated that the Magpies' followers have clocked up over 4,300 miles for league games, while their North-East rivals Sunderland are in second place.
AA Route Planner's Nigel Phillips said: "The dedication of football fans has never been in any doubt but by conducting this study we discovered that there is a difference of over 2,000 miles between the teams who travel the highest and lowest miles.
"On top of this are the journeys to FA Cup, Football League Cup and, for some, including Newcastle United, European competition matches. Finding the best route to a match is key for keeping mileage and travelling time to a minimum and AA Route Planner allows fans to plan their routes carefully."
In contrast, fans supporting Midlands club Aston Villa have travelled just 2,209 miles over the league campaign.
