Newcastle Jets striker Emile Heskey has admitted that it is "difficult" to live so far away from his children.
The former Aston Villa forward, who moved to Australia's A-League last year, only managed to see his five children during Christmas and New Year as they continue to attend school in England.
"It's difficult with the kids at schools in England," Heskey told the Daily Mail.
"You don't want to disrupt them. Skype and Facetime help. I set the alarm to get up and speak to them."
The 35-year-old has scored eight goals for the Jets so far.
