Britain's Fed Cup captain Judy Murray has revealed that her son, two-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray, thinks that she will be "absolutely terrible" on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 54-year-old is taking part in the 12th series of the celebrity ballroom dancing competition, with other contestants including former Scotland rugby international Thom Evans, radio presenter Scott Mills and popstar Frankie Bridge, who is married to retired footballer Wayne Bridge.

Murray, who is also the mother of doubles player Jamie Murray, told the Daily Mail: "When I told the boys that I might do it, I didn't know if I would do it because you have to give about three and a half months of your life away to it and because I travel a lot and with my job, I didn't know if I would be able to.

"And when I said to Jamie, he said 'oh mum, you'll love that, you love that show' and Andy said 'oh my god, you'll be absolutely terrible'. If I'm terrible, I'll just laugh, because you have to."

Murray also revealed that her sons may attend the show to cheer her on when they are in the UK.
