Gary Neville has said that he hopes to see fellow pundit Jamie Carragher remain with Sky Sports, despite acknowledging that his colleague had made "a big mistake".
On Sunday night, a video emerged of Carragher reacting to taunts over Manchester United's 2-1 victory over Liverpool by spitting at a car carrying a 14-year-old girl and her father.
Carragher took to social media to publicly apologise for his actions, but the former defender of the Merseyside giants has now been suspended by Sky Sports and faces the possibility of being sacked by the broadcaster.
However, while criticising Carragher, Neville has revealed that he wants to see the 40-year-old continue in his position as a football analyst.
Joey Barton - who works for radio channel talkSPORT - has said that he expects Carragher to be removed from his role.
