Paralympic champion Oscar Pistorius is could learn whether he will be granted bail or not tomorrow at Pretoria Magistrates' Court.
The story has been dominated today by the news that the investigating officer Hilton Botha has been dropped from the case following claims that he faces seven charges of attempted murder himself.
Following the controversy, both the defence and the prosecution were able to deliver their closing statements.
Defence lawyer Barry Roux told the court that the state's case was weak, while the prosecution is adamant that bail should not be granted for the 26-year-old, who shot his girlfriend dead by firing four shots through a bathroom door at his home last week.
Pistorius has maintained that he thought Steenkamp was an intruder when he opened fire, while the Prosecution has argued that the sprinter intended to kill whomever he thought was behind the bathroom door.
The hearing will resume at 8am UK time tomorrow.
