American IBF middleweight champion Jermain Taylor will undergo mental evaluation after allegedly being involved in two gun-related offences.
The 36-year-old was charged with first-degree battery and first-degree terroristic threatening in relation to the shooting of his cousin in August.
Last week, Taylor was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a minor after he allegedly opened fire and threatened to shoot a family during a parade on Martin Luther King Jr Day.
According to BBC Sport, a court in Arkansas has ruled that Taylor needs immediate physical and mental assessment.
Taylor's attorney told the court that the boxer's actions are completely out of character.
