Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty has been charged by the Football Association for misconduct in relation to betting.
The 28-year-old made just three appearances for the Canaries in all competitions last season before joining Birmingham City on loan in March until the end of the season.
However, he is now under investigation by the FA over a bet he placed on February 20, the governing body has announced.
"Kyle Lafferty has been charged by the FA for misconduct in relation to betting," read a statement on the official FA website.
"It is alleged that on February 20, 2016, the Norwich City forward placed a bet on the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of, or occurrence in, a football match or competition in breach of FA Rule E8."
The Northern Ireland international has until August 5 to respond to the charge.
