Eight supporters have reportedly been arrested following an outbreak of violence between Paris Saint-Germain and Valencia fans after the Ligue 1 side's Champions League victory.

The French outfit's 2-1 advantage over the Spanish side in the first leg of the round-of-16 tie was marred by fighting between rival fans in the Boulogne and Auteuil stands.

It is understood that Spanish police made eight arrests when the violence continued in the streets of Valencia city centre, according to ESPN.

Approximately 500 PSG fans are thought to have travelled to last night's fixture.
