David Beckham has reportedly booked a tutor to help him learn French ahead of his move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The 37-year-old is yet to join up with the Ligue 1 side that he signed a five-month deal with last week as he tries to build up his fitness.
The former Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder is believed to be conscious of the mocking Joey Barton received when he spoke in English with a French accent during a press conference for loan club Marseille.
"Becks isn't daft enough to make Joey's mistake," the Daily Star quotes a source as saying. "He has gone to great lengths to make sure he has a decent command of French.
"He wants to talk to the players, fans and the media in French. He doesn't want to sound like someone off 'Allo, 'Allo. He's booked a tutor in France and has courses on his portable devices."
Meanwhile, Beckham's new teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic has claimed that he will give the midfielder fashion tips when he arrives in the French capital.
