Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo managed to meet American singer Jennifer Lopez and former NBA star Shaquille O'Neal during his club's pre-season tour in the US.

The Portugal captain mingled with the famous faces following Madrid's 2-1 victory over Everton at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

Ronaldo posted photos with the stars on Twitter, writing: "Look who I run into yesterday! It's SHAQ."

After meeting Lopez and boyfriend Casper Smart, the 28-year-old wrote: "Happy to have met @JLo and @BEAUcasperSMART at the game yesterday."

Ronaldo's future at the Bernabeu remains in doubt following his comments that he has not yet signed a new contract.
