Rubin Kazan players have reportedly not been paid for the past four months.
The club, who are owned by Tatar-American Investments and Finance company TAIF, are believed to be having financial trouble and have informed the players that they do not have the funds to cover wages.
According to The Telegraph, almost every member of the squad, including former Arsenal midfielder Alex Song, is threatening to quit the Russian outfit in January.
The publication claims that the players are owed £10m in wages, and there is no indication as to when the team will receive their next paycheck.
President of the club, Radik Shaimiev, is listed as being the 88th richest man in Russia.
