Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe attended a memorial service for Stephen Lawrence on the 20th anniversary of his death.
Lawrence was murdered at a bus stop in 1993 in a racially-motivated attack by a gang of white youths in Eltham, South-East London.
Defoe paid his respects by attending the service at St Martin in the Fields Church yesterday, along with Prime Minister David Cameron and London Mayor Boris Johnson.
The theme of the service dedicated to the A-Level student was 'building for the future'.
