Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic has claimed that he gave a supporter his "pants" following his side's 5-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
Jovetic had promised to give away his shirt before going on as a second-half substitute at White Hart Lane.
However, he has now said that he gave the fan an alternative item of clothing because he wanted to keep hold of the shirt that he was wearing when he scored his first league goal for City.
"I was on the bench and he was near to me," the Montenegro international told reporters.
"He asked me for my shirt, but after I scored my first Premier League goal I said I had to take the shirt, so I gave him the pants."
Jovetic has made just four Premier League appearances since leaving Fiorentina in July.
