Torino striker Riccardo Meggiorini will be investigated by Italian football authorities for allegedly racially abusing Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba during the two sides' Serie A clash on Sunday.
However, the 27-year-old denies the allegations and insists that the insults he threw at the Frenchman were "perfectly normal".
"There was an insult but it was a perfectly normal one, the kind you get in football, nothing to do with racism," ESPN quotes him as saying.
Juventus won the Turin derby 2-0 to retain their 11-point lead at the top of the Serie A table.
