Rugby legend Jonny Wilkinson was awarded honorary citizenship of Toulon on Sunday by the city's mayor.
The fly-half announced last month that he would retire from the sport following a glittering career.
The 35-year-old signed off with a Top 14 victory for Toulon on Saturday after he guided the team to Heineken Cup glory over Saracens the week before.
During Toulon's celebrations on Sunday, Wilkinson was awarded honorary citizenship by mayor Hubert Falco while on stage in front of hundreds of fans.
Wilkinson, who earned 91 England caps, spent 12 years playing for Newcastle Falcons in the Premiership before joining Toulon in 2009.
