The X Factor contestant Jake Quickenden has signed for Evo-Stik League Northern Premier side Frickley Athletic.
The Scunthorpe-born 23-year-old, who operates best as a striker or winger, progressed to the last 24 on the ITV talent show last weekend and he will now have to perform at judge Nicole Scherzinger's house in order to compete for a place on the live shows.
Quickenden signed for the Westfield Lane outfit on Tuesday evening, after he had treated the players and management to a couple of songs at a training session.
Manager Karl Rose is hopeful that the relevant paperwork will go through in time for Quickenden to be available to make his debut in Saturday's FA Trophy tie at home to North Ferriby United.
