Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that manager Stale Solbakken's car has been vandalised and that the police are currently investigating the incident.
The 44-year-old discovered that his car, which was parked outside of his apartment, had been covered in paint but Solbakken has insisted that he has a good relationship with the club's supporters.
"I have already been asked about my car because people have seen it so it was decided to make this public rather than wait for any rumours to start," Solbakken told the club's official website.
"For me this does not affect in any way the good reaction I have had from Wolves supporters since I have been at the club. I fully accept that there will be questions asked by fans after our recent run, but this is about protecting my family and that is why we have called the police in to investigate.
"I would repeat though, I have nothing but praise for the support I have had, even during the bad times we have had recently. I think the Wolves fans are fair and very reasonable, and I am committed to bringing them the success they deserve."
The former Premier League side currently sit 18th in the Championship table, taking 22 points from 19 games.
