Legendary horseracing trainer Sir Henry Cecil has died at the age of 70.
The Englishman, who was a 10-time champion trainer, was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2006.
"It is with great sadness that Warren Place Stables confirms the passing of Sir Henry Cecil earlier this morning," read a brief statement on his official website.
"Following communication with the British Horseracing Authority, a temporary licence will be allocated to Lady Cecil."
Arguably Cecil's greatest triumph was training Frankel, who went unbeaten throughout his 14-race career before retiring in 2012.
Cecil also held the record for the most winners at Royal Ascot with over 70 to his name.
