Luke Gale produced good form with the boot to hand Bradford Bulls a 34-26 victory from their home encounter against Wakefield Wildcats this afternoon.
The Bulls scored three tries before the break courtesy of Elliott Whitehead, Keith Lulia and Shaun Ainscough. Gale made the most of those tries by scoring the resultant drop-kicks.
However, the visiting Wildcats stayed in contention thanks to tries from Paul Aiton, Ben Cockayne, Tim Smith and replacement Frankie Mariano. Only two of those tries were converted by Paul Sykes though.
Lulia added another try for the hosts shortly after the restart, which was duly converted by Gale. The same player then added another drop-kick to extend his side's advantage.
However, a try from Kyle Amor, which was converted by Skyes, brought Wakefield level at 26 points apiece.
The Bulls regained the lead 13 minutes from the end when Frenchman Olivier Elima went over for his first try of the match. Once again Gale sent the ball between the posts to put his side 32-26 up.
Gale completed the scoring in the final minutes when he made another drop-kick.
