Castleford Tigers coach Daryl Powell has praised his side for putting in a "superb" defensive performance to beat Warrington Wolves in Super League.
The Tigers moved up to fourth place in the table last night as they earned a narrow 17-16 triumph on home soil.
Warrington came close to turning the game around during a nervy finale, but Castleford held firm to claim the points.
"It was a bit crazy at the end," Powell is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "We did well to win that with them having the ascendancy and a real big reason to win that game.
"I thought we had a bit of a hand in getting them back into it and they've got enough quality players to take advantage, but for sheer guts and effort tonight the players were superb.
"They belted us good and proper the last time we played them. They were just too good for us but tonight defensively we were superb and worked so hard for each other."
Castleford continue their Super League campaign on August 22 when they travel to Catalans Dragons.
