Struggling Castleford Tigers easily dismantled Huddersfield Giants at the PROBIZ Coliseum this afternoon, winning 52-6.
The two sides exchanged a try each in the opening 10 minutes, but after that it was plain sailing for the home side.
Jamie Ellis kicked superbly, and converted three first-half tries after the opening exchanges to send Castleford into a 22-6 half-time lead.
Further Tigers points came in the second half, Ellis kicking three more goals inside 20 minutes before tries from Josh Griffin and Richard Owen took the score to 40-6 with over 10 minutes to play.
Adam Milner then went over as the Tigers opened up a 40-point lead.
The early Giants' converted try turned out to be their only score of the match, and Castleford scored another try to run out comfortable 52-6 winners, Ellis ending with 10 successful kicks.
