Catalans Dragons have secured a narrow 28-24 victory over Hull FC in their final Super League match of the season.
The visitors got off to a strong start in the contest when they took the lead in the fourth minute as Jordan Sigismeau found space in the line to crash over for the opening score.
Catalan compounded their advantage by notching three further tries through Ian Henderson, Krisnan Inu and Elliott Whitehead to take a 20-0 lead in the 30th minute.
However, Hull came back into the game before the break when Tom Lineham and Josh Abdull both crossed the tryline to reduce the deficit to 12 points.
Curtis Naughton brought his side within eight points after the restart when he crossed over the line for a score, and Lineham soon notched his second try of the game to bring the hosts within striking distance.
The Dragons rallied through a score from Thomas Bosc and Scott Dureau added the conversion, and he then sent a penalty through the posts to take the visitors out of reach of the home side.
Lineham gave Hull hope when he found the line for his hat-trick in the 74th minute, although his side missed the crucial conversion. The 23-year-old scored again just before the whistle, but he could not stop his side falling to a narrow defeat.
