France have beaten Papua New Guinea 9-8 in the Rugby League World Cup this evening.
Thomas Bosc and William Barthau were the heroes for the French as they scored all the points for the home side.
Bosc opened the scoring with a try after just six minutes before converted to give his side the 6-0 lead.
However, Nene MacDonald went over the line after 17 minutes to get his side back in it before Josiah Abavu added a try of his own.
Bosc then added another penalty to his tally on the hour mark before Barthau kicked the decisive point to win it four minutes later.
