Huddersfield's Danny Brough wins the Super League Man of Steel award for 2013, while his Giants coach Paul Anderson is named coach of the year at a ceremony in Manchester.

Danny Brough has been rewarded for inspiring Huddersfield Giants' best ever Super League season by being named Man of Steel for 2013.

The Giants kicker broke a 93-year-old club record of 147 goals in a campaign as the John Smith's Stadium outfit finished top of the regular-season table for the first time since 1922.

Huddersfield's captain pipped Wigan Warriors skipper Sean O'Loughlin and 2003-winner Jamie Peacock to the prize, and his club coach also came away from the ceremony in Manchester with an accolade.

Paul Anderson was named coach of the year at the end of his first season in the job, which saw them nearly reach the Grand Final, only to suffer a 30-22 defeat to Warrington Wolves last week.

Meanwhile, Hull FC's 20-year-old centre Ben Crooks was named young player of the year, while retiring duo Stuart Fielden and Shaun Briscoe were honoured with lifetime achievement awards.
