Huddersfield Giants coach Nathan Brown has admitted that he was pleased with his team's effort during their 28-24 defeat to Hull at the KC Stadium.
With very little to separate the two sides, Kirk Yeaman struck twice in the final 10 minutes to seal a much-needed win for the hosts.
However, Brown believes that his men gave a good account of themselves during the 80 minutes.
"I can't fault the players' commitment. It is the best we've played for five or six weeks," he told Sky Sports News. "But I thought we let ourselves down by not sticking to the process we need to do to give ourselves a good chance of winning.
"It was a huge improvement from where we've been. It would have been good to win."
The defeat has kept Huddersfield fifth in the Super League table.
