Wigan Warriors have moved to the top of the Super League table with a 32-12 victory over rivals Huddersfield Giants at the Galpharm Stadium.
The hosts landed the first blow after 15 minutes through Jermaine McGillvary's try before Danny Brough kicked the extras to give his side a 6-0 lead.
Josh Charnley's score got Wigan on the scoresheet, but Sam Tomkins missed the kick on what was a poor night for the full-back.
However, he made amends soon after with a score of his own, while Charnley got his second of the match minutes before the break to give Wigan a 12-6 advantage at half time.
Greg Eden's try, combined with Brough's goal, drew the Giants level eight minutes into the second half, but Wigan went into overdrive as quick scores from Greg Eden, George Carmont and Liam Farrell moved the visitors out of sight.
Carmont then bagged his second try of the evening on the hour as Tomkins made his first kick of the match to make the score 26-12 to the Warriors.
The win was sealed in the final minutes when Jeff Lima went over. Tomkins kicked between the posts to add the extras.
