Wigan Warriors beat Huddersfield Giants 22-8 in this evening's Super League qualifying playoff.
Huddersfield notched the first points of the game after captain Danny Brough slipped through a gap in the Warriors, before beating the fullback to open the scoring.
The Warriors then hit back when Josh Charnley beat his man on the outside, before sliding in from the five-yard line to produce his 40th try in all competitions this season and bring things level at 6-6. A penalty for either side then ensured they went in level at 8-8 at the break.
Wigan took the advantage in the second half and found themselves ahead when Sam Tomkins fed Charnley leaving him with only 10 yards to run.
The Warriors never looked back and confirmed victory when Blake Green sold a dummy before using his pace to take him around the fullback and over the line.
