Hull coach Peter Gentle has hailed his side's character following Friday's 22-22 draw at St Helens in Super League.
The visitors were down 12-22 at Langtree Park, but a late fightback saw them claim a share of the spoils.
"At this time of year it's a point gained," Gentle told Sky Sports News. "We had an opportunity to win it and the longer the game went the stronger belief that we could win it.
"We're still misfiring but there is plenty of character there. The guys are excited and genuinely believe we are a good football team. We're a work in progress and we will get there eventually."
Friday's point has moved Hull up to sixth place in the table.
